Registered Nurse (RN) – OPWDD | $47-$53/hour | Monday–Friday Schedule | Bronx & Brooklyn, NY

Location: Bronx and Brooklyn, NY (both available)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Type: Full-Time | Day Shift | On-site

Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for providing compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities? We're hiring dedicated RNs to work in an OPWDD program located in the Bronx and Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a Registered Nurse in this care management-forward role to coordinate medical services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

There are currently opportunities in both an outpatient setting and residential group homes within this large non-profit network.

Registered Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities

As an OPWDD Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in the daily health and wellness of residents:

  • Review and prepare medication orders; certify staff medication counts
  • Coordinate healthcare services and supervise overall medical care
  • Participate in resident placements, including pre-admission and discharge planning
  • Monitor post-operative recovery and manage hospitalizations
  • Conduct house checks to ensure compliance with care plans and protocols
  • Lead staff trainings and in-service education on medical and nursing procedures
  • Provide ongoing nursing assessments and ensure implementation of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery

What We’re Looking For

Registered Nurse (RN) Required Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
  • Proven experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)

Preferred Experience:

  • Clinical experience in OPWDD settings, Article 16 Clinics, or Group/Residential Homes
