• Level 3: 2:1 or 1:1 (based on acuity)

Radiant warmers, isolettes, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, ventilators, oscillators, JETs, CPAP, NIPPV, high-flow nasal cannula, nasal cannulas, EKG monitors, breast milk warmers

Candidate Profile

Required Skills

Candidates must possess the following to be considered:

• Safe medication administration and dosage calculation
• Medication and EMB administration using the five rights
• Proper handling of EMB
• Care for patients with NG/OG tubes
• Adherence to feeding orders from OT/ST
• Management of CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula
• Care for patients with PIVs, PICCs, UAC/UVC
• Experience with patients 22 weeks gestation and above
• Proficiency with NICU equipment
• Promotion of safe sleep practices (32–34 weeks gestation)
• Developmentally appropriate care for preterm infants
• Lab draw proficiency
• Ability to escalate patient concerns appropriately
• NAS scoring
  
  

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following will be prioritized:

• Experience with ETT, ventilators, JETs, cooling therapy, surgical patients
