Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives and using your medical skills to improve patient outcomes? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time, Permanent OR RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care in the field of orthopedics, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with surgeons, and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent OR RN, your primary responsibilities will include

• Providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Preparing operating rooms for surgeries, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs during surgeries and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Administering medications and managing patient pain levels as directed by physicians.
• Assisting with patient recovery and discharge, providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical reports and follow-up notes.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest best practices in orthopedic nursing.
  
  

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Permanent OR RN, candidates must possess the following qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is highly preferred.
• A current and valid RN license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN, with a focus on orthopedics.
• Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care, and nursing best practices.
• Experience in an ambulatory surgery setting in highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• The ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
