Unit Description

Pulmonary 6S is a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory disorders. Nurses manage a 1:6 patient ratio and collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy. This unit requires a strong foundation in general medicine and specialized respiratory care skills.

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Projected Start Date: October 13, 2025
• Projected End Date: January 10, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Contract Length Options: 13–26 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
  
  

Licensure

• Active RN license in the State of Alabama or Compact License
• No temporary licenses accepted
• Must be verified in NURSYS
  
  

Certifications

• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 2 years preferred
• Will consider candidates with 18 months of experience under highest level of licensure
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in specialty
