Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical team at John H. Stroger Junior Hospital of Cook County. As a Med Surg RN, you will provide compassionate and effective care to patients, assist with medical procedures, monitor patient progress, and work closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring.
• Administer medications, treatments, and assist with medical procedures as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure patients' comfort and safety while in the medical-surgical unit.
• Document patient status and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health records.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license.
• 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
