Description

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health.

Job Summary

Functions in first-line management/clinical leadership role in coordinating patient care activities in the Surgical Telemetry Unit; ensures appropriate staffing and coverage for unanticipated needs as well as long and short term staff scheduling; promotes teamwork and collegial relationships with, and among staff; intervenes appropriately and keeps the Unit Manager informed of departmental issues.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or related field, preferred.
  
  

Experience & Skills

• Previous 2-3 years experience as charge nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager in a Med/Surg Unit is required
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills, focused on customer service
  
  

Licensure/Certification

• Florida RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• Specialty Certification desirable
