Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

• Nursing Director opportunity for a Registered Nurse at Chelsea Hospital.
• Oversight of four Nurse Managers (ICU, M/S, Rehab Units), and oversight of Virtual Nurse Initiatives, House Supervisors and Palliative care.
• This leader drives performance and engagement across clinical operations. They chair three major councils and actively contribute to more than 20 cross-functional committees and nursing councils, influencing key areas such as safety, pharmacy, nursing operations, patient experience, and staffing strategy.
• They lead the rollout of advanced clinical technologies and serve as a liaison for high-impact programs like dialysis, PICC, and telemonitoring. Their data insights fuel daily safety huddles and monthly operating reviews, while their operational support extends to the House Supervisor team, Palliative Care, and Virtual RN initiatives.
• Strategically, they co-lead patient experience efforts for Chelsea, oversee the implementation and education of Qualtrics, and play a central role in planning and executing rehab expansion.
  
  

What You Will Do

• Serves as a member of the Trinity Health Hospitals nursing leadership team, they are responsible for providing vision, leadership, influence and direction for the strategic development and outcomes.
• Oversee tactical plans incorporating business requirements, marketplace trends and technological solutions in a comprehensive, actionable and attainable multi-year plan.
• Provides clinical and administrative leadership within a shared governance framework planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care.
• Presents strategies, plans and direction to wide range of Trinity Health Hospital(s) key groups and stakeholder audiences highlighting business drivers, key areas of focus, operational improvement and details in accomplishing desired results, goals and objectives.
  
  

Miniumum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and appropriate Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Health Administration.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years clinical or nursing leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting.
• Certification/Licensure: State of Michigan Registered Nursing license.
