At Cooperative Home Care, we want our nurses to know they are seen, heard, and respected. We are actively hiring an LPN or RN to work with a quadriplegic PEDS client for 4-hour evening shifts (6:30p-10:30p) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, then a 12-hour shift on Saturday with a flexible start time. Think: 6a-6p, 7a-7p, or some variant like that. Knowledge of and experience with TBI, seizures, g-tube feeding, and shunts is preferable, but training is conducted during orientation. 

 Our Private Duty Nurses seek to keep their patients comfortable, safe, and as healthy as possible. Private Duty Nurse duties vary based on patients’ individual needs, but often include:

• Assessing patients to determine what their ongoing physical, mental and emotional needs are
• Administering medications orally, intravenously or via injection or inhaler
• Monitoring and tracking patient vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature
• Performing services and treatments, such as cleaning wounds, changing catheters and caring for ostomy sites
• Coordinating care with Physicians, Therapists, Social Workers and other medical professionals
• Educating patients and family caregivers about managing chronic health conditions
• Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding private medical information
