• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed; may be considered based on unit needs
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)

Job Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• First-time travelers considered based on experience
• Certifications Required:
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• NRP
• ACLS
• Licensure:
• Active RN license required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Charting System:
• Cerner (required)
  

Skills & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs
• Administer medications and assist with pain management
• Circulate and assist during cesarean sections
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
  
  

Floating Expectations

• May float within Women’s and Infants services
• Rarely floated to Postpartum or Antepartum units
• Will not float outside of Women’s and Infants scope
