Responsibilities

Charge Nurse (RN) Operating Room

We are actively hiring for a Charge Nurse Operating Room

Location: MemorialCare Surgical Center at Saddleback - Laguna Hills, CA

Address: 24411 Health Center Dr, Suite 104, Laguna Hills, California 9265

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing:
• Provide a hand-off report to other teammates that is accurate, concise, and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Manage the surgical area both operationally and fiscally during tour of duty.
• Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using current literature and guidelines, organizational policies and procedures, and regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Assist perioperative personnel in evaluating current practice through quality and performance improvement activities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the State of California.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN/BSN
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Prior experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center preferred
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS, and PALS
