Job Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of current and strong LDRP experience
• Acute care RN experience required
• Antepartum and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience preferred
• Cross-training in antepartum and postpartum expected
• Travel experience required
• Certifications Required:
• BLS
• NRP
• E-CFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring – Antepartum RN)
• Licensure:
• Maryland or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission

Required Skills:

• Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Level I Nursery care
• Newborn care: assessments, cord care, metabolic screening, phototherapy, hypoglycemia management
• Postpartum care: breastfeeding support, episiotomy/incision care, fundus/lochia/perineum care
• Surgical procedures: D&C, tubal ligation, cervical cerclage
• Fetal monitoring: external and internal
• Pain management: opioids, PCA use
• Professional topics: HIPAA compliance, vaccine administration, isolation precautions

• Common Diagnoses: Labor checks, cesarean sections, inductions, contractions, deliveries
• Unit Description: Family Center includes postpartum, Mom/Baby couplets, antepartum, and newborn nursery

IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
