• Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Nights
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Coverage: 2 weekend shifts per contract
• Call Requirements: None
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)

Job Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Certifications Required:
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS
• Charting System:
• Epic (must have experience within the last 12 months; otherwise, 10 additional hours of unbillable orientation will be added)
• Licensure:
• Active RN license required
• Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate
  

Skills & Responsibilities

Required Skills:

• IV Therapy: Starting IVs, accessing ports, central/PICC line care, arterial line management
• Respiratory Care: Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tube assistance, ABG interpretation, suctioning
• Cardiac & Emergency: Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drip titration, emergency medication administration, 12-lead EKG
• Neurological: Stroke management, TBI, spinal cord injury, post-neurosurgery care
• Renal & GI: Chronic/acute renal failure, GI surgery recovery
• Other: Infection control, wound care (including wound vacs), phlebotomy, sedation administration

Facility & Patient Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approx. 5 patients
• Unit Size: 6 beds
• Common Diagnoses: Medical, surgical, and cardiac adult patients; occasional pediatric medical cases
• Interdisciplinary Support Includes: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation
