About the Role

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (Senior Level) to support clinical operations at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Houston, TX. This contract position involves direct patient care, quality and safety compliance, and customer service across multiple surgical service lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert-level nursing care in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act
• Conduct assessments, assist with exams and treatments, and maintain accurate medical records
• Provide culturally competent care and clear patient instructions
• Participate in preoperative calls and routine unit checks
• Support nursing leadership with additional duties as assigned
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Coordinate care for complex patients and report safety concerns
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized clinical environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
• Advocate for patient needs and resolve clinical or ethical concerns
• Educate patients on ASC policies to prevent misunderstandings

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) – Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• Minimum 4 years of RN experience in PACU
• Additional experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing, ER, Infusion Therapy, ASC, or hospital settings
• Ortho Joint, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, ENT
• Active Texas RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS
• PALS
