Schedule & Shift Details
Required Skills:
Preterm labor, PPROM, previa, labor evaluation, cerclage, C-section, VBAC/TOLAC, fetal demise, postpartum hemorrhage, multiple gestations
Special Equipment
Bakari balloon, fetal monitors, Belmont rapid transfusion system, JADA, Triton
Interdisciplinary Support Includes
IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
Vaccination Guidelines
- Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Nights
- Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per contract)
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes – to Mother/Baby, ICU, ED for task-based support (not full patient assignments)
- Block Scheduling: Not available
- Orientation: 24 hours (includes HealthStream modules and unit orientation)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of L&D experience preferred (will screen for 1–2 years)
- Travel experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Must be able to circulate for C-sections
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- STABLE
- AWHONN Intermediate (preferred)
- Licensure:
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or Compact state
- EMR System:
- Epic (required)
- Note: Former employees of any SolutionHealth facility are not eligible for travel contracts, regardless of separation duration
Required Skills:
- Labor & Delivery management: triage, vaginal delivery, C-section circulation, hemorrhage response
- Medication administration: magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, insulin drips
- Neonatal care: APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, newborn assessments, metabolic screening
- Postpartum care: couplet care, cesarean recovery, hemorrhage management
- Antepartum procedures: NSTs, sterile exams, speculum exams
- Pain management: epidural, PCA, nitrous oxide
- Fetal monitoring: external/internal, IUPC placement
- IV therapy and phlebotomy
- High-risk antepartum
- Labor & Delivery
- Level I Nursery
- Mother/Baby
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
- Daily Census: 8 patients
- Visits Per Day: Approx. 12
- Number of Rooms: 10
- Number of Beds: 10
- Unit Features:
- 2 ORs staffed by L&D nurses
- OB coverage 24/7
- Level III NICU onsite
- No LDRP model
