Interventional Radiology (IR) Department
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role. While doctors use medical imaging to guide minimally invasive surgical procedures that diagnose and treat many types of conditions, Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurses (RN) are there to assist physicians and ensure the patient is safe and comfortable during the procedures. Duties may include but are not limited to assisting with the pre-operative and post-operative care of consciously sedated patients throughout their Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures as well as positioning and monitoring patients as well. Some Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures include: paracentesis, thoracentesis, port-placement, drain access and some arterial and venous procedures. About the Facility
Baylor Scott & White - Pflugerville is a full-service hospital, providing a wide network of medical expertise and resources. This facility has achieved Magnet recognition for its nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superiority in patient care.
Baylor Scott & White - Pflugerville features a 25-bed Main Nursing Unit (is expected to double as part of the expansion) is a blended unit with three levels of acuity and operates from a multidisciplinary approach in providing the highest standards of nursing care to patients and families. The facility also offers 24/7 emergency services (a 16-bed Emergency Department), Surgical Services Department (offering adult and pediatric surgeries) and a brand new Catheterization Lab/Interventional Radiology Department.
Baylor Scott & White – Pflugerville is currently under construction for an expansion and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The improvements include the brand new Catheterization Lab/Interventional Radiology Department for minimally invasive procedures, increased imaging options including nuclear medicine, added emergency and trauma services and improvements to operating room capabilities. As Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Pflugerville is a new and growing medical center, the health system is continuously working to create new services to provide to members of this community.

Qualifications
Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
The applicant's major field of study should be Nursing.
Candidates must be Registered Nurses.
A BLS certification is required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
