Description
Position Summary:
Oversee operations of an ambulatory care department; supervises employees directly and is responsible for solving most of the problems arising for assigned clinical team. Direct reports include Registered Nurses and clinical support staff in assigned practice.
What The Ambulatory Clinical Supervisor Will Need
- Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited school of nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse in state of Michigan
- Three years nursing experience for similar patient populations
- Progressive experience in health care including involvement in direct patient care, educating staff, supervising personnel and problem solving of unit or organizational issues
- Supervises and evaluates of clinical care team in collaboration with Practice Leader
- Staff development
- Daily staff assignment of patient care
- Ensuring adequate equipment and supplies inventory control
- Quality assessment and improvement
- Customer service strategies
- Assistance with performance evaluations
- Implementing operational plans
- Intra- and inter-departmental communication as well as liaison with medical staff and sales representatives
