Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Float Requirement: Yes – between Main Campus and Morris Cancer Center

On-Call Requirement: 2–3 days/week

Facility Overview

The Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, opening May 2025, is New Jersey’s first freestanding cancer hospital. It integrates RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute under one roof, connected to RWJ University Hospital via pedestrian bridge.

Qualifications

• Experience Required:
• Minimum 2 years in a stroke center
• Level I or II trauma experience
• ED or ICU experience highly preferred
• Certifications Required:
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Charge Experience: Preferred
• Scrub Experience: Required

• EKOS+, A-line, procedural wedge pressures
• Moderate sedation, vasoactive drips, ventilator management
• Stroke and trauma interventions
• Conscious sedation recovery (some patients go to PACU)
• Midline insertion (house-wide coverage)
