Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED) | St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO

Job Title: RN – Emergency Department

Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hours/week)

Shift Type: Nights

Position Summary

The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care, performs assessments, administers treatments, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care. This role supports the mission and values of SCL Health and may require floating to other departments or participating in on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Conduct health teaching and counseling
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed
• Monitor and review treatment plans
• Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Float to other units as needed
• Participate in on-call coverage
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program
• Active RN license in Colorado
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
  
  

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• NIHSS certification
• Previous ED nursing experience
• Additional certifications relevant to emergency care
