Responsibilities for a Unit Manager:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit
• Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
• Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow-up as necessary to Administrator and Director of Nursing
• Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing
• Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs
  
  

Qualifications for a Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required; Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital, or other related healthcare center
• MUST HAVE SKILLED NURSING EXPERIENCE
• SUBACUTE EXPERIENCE NEEDED
