About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager (RN) to lead our dedicated PICU team at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience or PICU background to step into a leadership role and make a direct impact on patient care, staff development, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
As a Nurse Manager – PICU, you will:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of registered nurses and clinical staff in a pediatric intensive care setting.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.

Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and accreditation requirements.

Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and patient safety strategies.

Support staff education, clinical growth, and professional development.

Manage department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding pediatric care.

Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

Minimum 3 years of RN experience; ICU/PICU RN leadership experience strongly preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

National specialty certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).

Experience managing staff in an acute care or pediatric critical care environment.

Qualification
