Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to patients within the Med Surg unit. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans using the ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The RN will act as a patient advocate, provide direct care and support, educate patients and families, and competently use medical technology and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document patient condition and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide education to patients and families on conditions and self-care
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State (must specify state)
• Active BLS certification - American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience
• BSN preferred - or must sign an agreement to complete within 3 years of hire
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
