Position Summary

Cone Health is seeking a highly experienced CVOR RN with Open Heart OR experience to join its surgical team. This role requires proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing for complex cardiac procedures. Candidates must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes—no exceptions.

Key Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years required
• Open Heart OR experience required
• Scrub experience required
• No first-time travelers unless they meet the above criteria
• Certifications:
• Required: BLS, ACLS
• Skills Required:
• Scrubbing and circulating for open heart cases
• ECMO, LVAD, Impella device management
• CABG, valve replacements (mitral, aortic, tricuspid), aortic dissections
• Thoracotomies, VATS, robotic chest procedures
• Chest tube insertion/removal
• Intra-aortic balloon pump, TAVR procedures
• Wound vac and surgical wound care
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Travel Experience: Required unless candidate has Open Heart OR experience
