Job Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 medical support to a student in a school setting. The nurse will deliver direct care, monitor health conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure the student’s safety and access to education.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care tailored to the student’s medical needs
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Deliver emergency care and first aid as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Conduct health screenings and monitor immunization compliance
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans
• Identify and address health and safety risks in the school environment
• Educate students, families, and staff on health-related topics
• Coordinate care with parents and external healthcare providers
• Implement infection control measures per public health guidelines
• Document all health services in accordance with school and state regulations
• Participate in professional development and training
• Perform other health-related duties within the scope of practice
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Active RN or LPN license in good standing with the state licensing board
• Knowledge of nursing practices, school health protocols, and public health regulations
• Proficiency in health technology and electronic health records
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and school staff
