Infection Preventionist-RN: Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- License: A current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. An LPN with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or with wound care/infection prevention is preferred, but not required. We offer comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Patient Care: You will provide patient care based on established scientific principles and evidence-based practices.
- Intervention: Recognize changes in a patient's condition and intervene appropriately to ensure their safety and health.
- Prioritization: Prioritize nursing actions effectively, taking into account patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implementation: Accurately implement physician orders in a timely manner.
- Patient Education: Educate and counsel patients and their families about wound care processes and infection prevention.
- Teamwork: Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
- Schedule: This is a full-time position. On-call weekend rotation-once per month
- Pay: We offer a Daily Pay option for your convenience.
