Infection Preventionist-RN: Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• License: A current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. An LPN with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or with wound care/infection prevention is preferred, but not required. We offer comprehensive training for the right candidate.
• Patient Care: You will provide patient care based on established scientific principles and evidence-based practices.
• Intervention: Recognize changes in a patient's condition and intervene appropriately to ensure their safety and health.
• Prioritization: Prioritize nursing actions effectively, taking into account patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
• Implementation: Accurately implement physician orders in a timely manner.
• Patient Education: Educate and counsel patients and their families about wound care processes and infection prevention.
• Teamwork: Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.

• Schedule: This is a full-time position. On-call weekend rotation-once per month
