Position Description

Job Overview – Pediatric Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities):

Compensation: $50/hour

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Take on a vital role as a Pediatric Registered Nurse (Developmental Disabilities) with our client in Philadelphia, PA. Provide specialized nursing care in Intermediate Care Facilities, focusing on tracheostomy and ventilator management, family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Utilize advanced equipment such as EVO and Astral ventilators, Bivona tracheostomy tubes, and G-tubes/J-tubes while making a meaningful impact on patient care and family support.

Responsibilities as the Pediatric Registered Nurse:

  • Direct Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care for a multi-child assignment, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Family & Patient Communication: Foster compassionate, professional communication with children, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, interdisciplinary staff, and external treatment teams to support holistic, individualized care plans.
  • Clinical Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain medical records, reports, and care notes in compliance with standards.
  • Quality & Compliance: Adhere to nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements while promoting best practices.

Qualifications for the Pediatric Registered Nurse:

  • Education: Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience with pediatric tracheostomy and ventilator care.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with ventilators, tracheostomy tubes, and feeding tubes (G-tubes/J-tubes).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of child growth, development, and disease processes.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication skills, respect for privacy and confidentiality, and a team-oriented approach.
