Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: The Mental Health Closed Unit, is a 27 bed involuntary adult inpatient unit. This unit offers short term care facility with a focus on stabilizing acute patients utilizing a therapeutic and evidence-based approach. Anxiety, depression, panic, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc., are some of the many conditions that the Adult Outpatient Unit treats. We provide services in many languages and have a strong cultural sensitivity for individuals between 18 and 55 years old. Our highly trained staff provides expertise in the areas of psychiatric, psychosocial, and psychological evaluation. We offer medication monitoring, individual, group, couples and family psychotherapy. Each patient is carefully evaluated and an individualized treatment plan is offered. It is our goal to provide this service in a compassionate environment aimed at restoring the highest level of functioning possible in the shortest time possible. Our goal is for individuals to become self-reliant and to utilize community based support upon the completion of treatment.

Our Goal Is To Allow¯new Graduate Nurses The Opportunity¯to Gain Additional Clinical Competencies¯to Achieve a Stress-free Transition From Student To Professional Practice. Highlights Of Our Program Include

  • Continuing education and ongoing enhancement of professional development.
  • Specialty-specific foundation courses¯were¯developed to reflect the scope and standards of practice.
  • Application of professional accountability and ethical practice inherent in the role of the registered nurse.
  • Recognition of the effects of skilled nursing practice on patient safety, quality and satisfaction.
  • Self-care focus, to maintain a safe and fulfilling nursing practice, for both the nurse and patient.
  • Mentorship to support the new graduate nurse through their first year of practice and beyond.
  • New graduates are hired in the area of specialty to enhance their specialty education experience¯from day one.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Assigned to Day, Evening or Night Shift based on Dept need following completion of orientation
  • Full Time
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey RN License or pending RN license (with completed NCLEX exam) required.
  • A new graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with less than 6 months of RN experience is required.
  • Associate's Degree required; BSN preferred.
  • An American Heart Association BLS prior to the start date is required.
  • Career interest in Behavioral Health specialties is highly preferred.
