As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in BHN’s Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), you’ll provide care that helps individuals achieve and maintain an opioid-free lifestyle through evidence-based, medication-assisted treatment. In this role, you will:
BHN’s Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) uses evidence-based medication protocols, approved by the Medical Director, to help individuals safely detox from opioids and build the skills needed for sustained recovery. Our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive assessment, ongoing evaluation, and coordinated support throughout the treatment process.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in BHN’s Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), you’ll provide care that helps individuals achieve and maintain an opioid-free lifestyle through evidence-based, medication-assisted treatment. In this role, you will:
- Deliver care with kindness and sensitivity, preserving dignity and rights of individuals served
- Use biophysical, psychosocial, and spiritual knowledge during assessments
- Diagnose conditions and develop personal care plans for intervention
- Collaborate with individuals and their families on treatment and education
- Recognize and address the unique needs of dually diagnosed and other special populations
- Evaluate responses to care plans and track progress toward recovery goals
- Work a 5:30am–2:00pm schedule with rotating weekends to meet program needs
- Current Massachusetts LPN license (required)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Nursing preferred; Diploma in Nursing accepted
- Minimum one year of nursing experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish (required)
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards, CARF standards, and ethics/legal parameters of working with substance use populations
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Ability to empathize with and advocate for individuals in recovery, including those with co-occurring disorders
- Flexibility to cover occasional nights and weekends based on program needs
