Position Description

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location:  50 Harmony Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505
Schedule: Full-Time | Shifts: 7AM–7PM or 7PM–7AM

Your Role

As an LPN, you’ll play a key role in coordinating and providing personalized nursing care that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor medication plans, ensuring effectiveness and communicating changes to physicians.
  • Continuously assess resident needs and update care plans accordingly.
  • Promote resident safety and wellness through proactive interventions and thorough documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional care.
  • Respond to emergencies with calm and competence.
  • Report incidents and changes in condition to the Healthcare Coordinator.
  • Participate in community activities and events.
  • Support mealtime service and monitor nutritional intake.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Foster positive relationships across departments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to CNA/RMA staff.
  • Attend required training, CEUs, and staff meetings.
  • Uphold all policies and procedures, including safe body mechanics and transfer techniques.

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensure: Current LPN license in good standing with the state Board of Nursing.
  • Experience: Prior experience with seniors in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and supervisory experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible 8–16-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Training: Must be certified or willing to complete required state certification classes.
