Description

Clinical Oncology RN within the Lacks Cancer Center. Includes radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, breast center and palliative care for oncology. Join our dedicated oncology team as a Registered Nurse, hours of operation are Monday through Friday, Day shift float — with no weekends or holidays. This role is a supportive, patient-centered environment, and unlimited career growth opportunities within Trinity Health. As a clinic nurse, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide quality, patient-centered care. You will use your nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol knowledge to make informed decisions and deliver safe, efficient care. Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of care plans in collaboration with the care team.

What You Will Do

• Perform patient assessments and telephone triage
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines
• Provide individualized patient and caregiver education
• Communicate with ordering providers and care teams
• Manage side effects and medication refills
• Support patients through the oncology care continuum
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nursing License in good standing
• Specialty professional certification preferred; required within 2 years of hire
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
