Job Description

Springfield Hospital’s Emergency Department is a 24/7 facility serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually. Located at 25 Ridgewood Road, Springfield, VT, the department is staffed around the clock and provides immediate screening and care based on patient acuity.

Important Notes

• Start Date: November 2025
• Block Scheduling: Not permitted
• 48-Hour Guarantee: Not available
• Scheduling Requests: Must be submitted with profile; requests after offer will not be considered
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Must be included at submission; max 5 days allowed
• Holiday Coverage Requirement: Must work two of the following:
• Thanksgiving + Friday/weekend after
• Christmas Eve/Day + Friday/weekend after
• New Year’s Eve/Day + Friday/weekend after
• Extension Requests: Assignments ending in November or before December holidays will not be extended into 2026
• Orientation: Non-billable (0 hours)
• OT Rate: Same as regular hourly rate
• Call/Charge Pay: Not applicable
  

Submission Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of current ER experience in a hospital setting (Required)
• Minimum 3 months of travel experience (Preferred)
• Education:
• Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Certifications (Must be in hand at submission):
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC
• Licensure:
• Vermont RN License or Compact License
• Other Requirements:
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• Must have own vehicle
• All RTO must be listed in profile
• Profile must include:
• Work history
• Skills checklist (within 1 year)
• 1 supervisory reference (within past 2 years)
• Current Nursys verification and certifications
