• Unit Name: K9A – Oncology/Women’s Surgical
• Beds: 24
• Staffing:
• Day Shift: 1 CNC, 4–6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift: 1 CNC, 4–6 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
• EMR System: Cerner
• Equipment: Standard unit equipment
• Dress Code:
• RNs: Navy, white, or a combination
• CNAs: Galaxy Blue
  

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology care to patients in a surgical and medical setting
• Perform occasional pelvic exams, echo procedures, and thoracentesis
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care
• Float to other med-surg units as needed (rare)
• Work 6 weekend days per schedule
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology or med-surg experience
• Chemo certification preferred
• Strong teamwork and willingness to learn
