Description

Position Purpose

The Float Registered Nurse RN provides high-quality, flexible nursing care across various units within Saint Francis Hospital. This role is essential for maintaining the continuity and quality of patient care, adapting to diverse clinical environments, and supporting unit staffing needs.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver patient-centered care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices.
  • Float between units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and specialty areas as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
  • Respond to emergent patient needs, assist with admissions, and participate in hospital rounds.
  • Uphold Trinity Health’s mission, values, and standards of compassionate care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital RN experience.
  • BLS certification preferred

Work Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Day.
  • 12-hour shifts.
