Posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 22 ($82,326), an Increase Hiring Rate ($10,852), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000), and Mid-Hudson Adjustment ($2,000). The posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate ($104,230), Geographic Pay Differential ($35,000), and Mid-Hudson Adjustment ($2,000).
Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift. 10% shift differential for night shift.

As a Registered Nurse 3 (Psychiatric Educator), you would:
- Plan, design, and develop orientation and training curriculum for nursing staff;
- Provide on the job training
- Clinically supervise staff in the provision of nursing services
- Evaluate training needs and modify programs to ensure effective service delivery
- Collaborate with nursing management and multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and revise policies and procedures and ensure staff competencies are current and in compliance with nursing standards
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are:
- Licensed and currently registered as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; and
- 2 years of post-licensure nursing experience; 1 year must be clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder and 1 year must be as a professional nurse educator conducting nurse education and training
OR

- If you fail to maintain your license and/or registration once you are appointed, action will be taken to remove you from the position.

- If appointed you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment.
