Kelly Government Solutions, in partnership with the Veterans Administration, is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in spinal cord injury, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for rewarding opportunities on our specialized team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to provide bedside care and rehabilitation support for Veterans with acute and chronic disease management needs. As an integral member of the Spinal Cord Division, you’ll work in a diverse, fast-paced environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary SCI/D care team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day needs of acutely ill patients with spinal cord injuries/disorders (SCI/D), MS, and ALS
- Administer and document medications in accordance with VA standards
- Support health promotion and patient/caregiver education, fostering self-determination in patient care
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation and medical care
- Apply the principles of rehabilitation nursing to promote highest functional independence
- Adhere to established safety practices and guide assistive personnel
- Participate in process and quality improvement initiatives across the unit and organization
Patient Population:
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Shift:
- 7:30 am - 8:00 pm (12-hour shifts with mandatory 30-min lunch)
Pay Rate:
- $55/hr
Requirements:
- Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit or other spinal cord experience
- Current, unrestricted US RN license
- BLS certification
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing
- Ventilation experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred
- Acute care nursing experience, especially with SCI/Rehabilitation patients, highly desirable
- Ability to multitask, manage complex patient needs, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Commitment to creating a healthy work environment and supporting quality improvement initiatives
