Work Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm, or 6:45p to 7:15a

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• CTRegistered Nurse Licensure.
• One year of L&D experience (preferred) or at least one year of Nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire
• Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire
• Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred
