Cardiac Telemetry RN | Night Shift

Travel Assignment | 13–26 Weeks | High-Acuity Cardiac & Stroke Unit

Join a fast-paced, high-turnover cardiac telemetry unit delivering exceptional care to patients with complex cardiovascular and neurological diagnoses. This is a night shift travel RN opportunity with strict scheduling and acuity expectations.

Position Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15)
• Schedule: Every other weekend + 2 Mondays & 2 Fridays per 6-week period
• Hours: 36/week
• Contract Length: 13–26 weeks
• Float Requirement: Yes (within scope)
• Call Requirement: Yes, based on census
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling with leadership oversight
• Orientation: 36 hours (must be available all days during week one)
• Scrubs: Navy blue, white, or a mix; jackets must match uniform material and color

Time-Off Policy

• RTO Limit: Max 7 days for auto-offer
• Holiday RTO: Not permitted
• Post-booking RTO: Not allowed and cannot be negotiated onsite

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in high-acuity cardiac telemetry
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills: IV starts, telemetry, cardiac drips, PCI, pre/post cardiac procedures
• Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted
• Locals: Accepted (rate differences may apply)
• EKG Test: Must pass prior to start

Unit Highlights

• Patient Ratios: 1:5–6 (must be comfortable with 6 during surge)
• Volume: 78–90 patient turnovers/week
• Diagnoses: CVA, TIA, CHF, dysrhythmias, unstable angina, post-cardiac interventions
• Procedures: Pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac cath, TR bands
• Drips: Cardizem, Dopamine, Amiodarone
• COVID Care: Opti-flow and BiPAP (chronic use only)
• Systems: Pyxis, EPIC (Dimensions), SBAR
