Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience required
• Preferred Experience:
• Charge nurse experience
• Trauma Level II
• Travel Experience: Not required (based on overall experience)
• Certifications Required:
• BLS (AHA)
• TX RN License
• ACLS* (preferred)
• PALS* (preferred)
• Charting System: Epic
  

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

Specialties & Procedures:

• Neurology: ALIF, cervical/lumbar fusion, craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, kyphoplasty
• Orthopedic & Spine: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, joint replacement, spinal fusion
• General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy
• Urology: Circumcision, cystectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP
• Trauma: Amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVAs
• Podiatry: Bunionectomy, metatarsal surgery, ankle fusion
• ENT: Sinus procedures, laryngectomy, tonsillectomy
• Ophthalmology: Eye trauma, vitrectomy
• Bariatrics: Gastric sleeve, laparoscopic cases
• Robotics: Da Vinci Xi, Mako, colorectal and urologic robotic surgery
