Position Summary

The ICU Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with professional standards, state requirements, and departmental needs. The RN collaborates with providers and a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery, serves as a patient advocate, and upholds the hospital's mission, vision, and values. Care delivery follows established nursing frameworks such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, monitoring, performing procedures, and following provider orders.
• Document care and treatment accurately and promptly in patient records.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and self-care measures.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes including diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years (higher acuity preferred; strong Med/Surg experience considered).
• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (with 60 days to transfer to Florida license if relocating).
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA) within 30 days of start.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN within 1 year of start
