Overview

This RN Clinical Nurse works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care, following Wellstar’s nursing models, evidence-based practices, and professional nursing standards under Georgia law and the American Nurses Association. Nurses advocate for patients while supporting system policies and service excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care individually using evidence-based practice.
• Deliver patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and includes active patient and family involvement.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe care delivery and timely documentation in a respectful environment.
• Promote teamwork, fiscal responsibility, recruiting and retaining healthcare staff.
• Engage in continuous professional development, mentoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Uphold healthcare policies, safety standards, and participate in data collection and research to improve care quality.
• Plan patient care across the continuum and support development of protocols to reduce readmissions and adverse events.
• Use resources efficiently for high-quality patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Nursing diploma or graduate from an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience:
  • Less than 1 year experience accepted with required clinical hours from school; direct patient care experience preferred
• Skills:
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced, emergency situations
  • Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
  • Competent in using technology to support clinical care
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS Instructor

This position is well suited for newly graduated nurses or those with limited experience seeking a supportive environment to develop professional nursing skills within Georgia’s largest integrated health system.
