• Part-time, night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Summary

• The RN works proactively with a care team to provide high-quality, safe, personalized patient care.
• Practices guided by Wellstar’s nursing models, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing standards in Georgia.
• Advocates for patients while supporting system policies and service excellence.

Core Responsibilities

Exemplary Practice and Outcomes (55%)

• Perform thorough nursing processes: assess, diagnose, plan, execute, and evaluate care using evidence-based practice.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual and cultural needs.
• Partner with patients and families, keeping them informed and involved in care decisions.
• Follow current clinical standards consistently.

Teamwork and Collaboration (25%)

• Coordinate and document safe, quality care through interdisciplinary communication.
• Practice fiscal responsibility and support team recruitment and retention.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, and shared governance at all organizational levels.

Professional Development and Initiative (10%)

• Complete required education and competency assessments.
• Act as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses and students, promoting professional growth and healthy work environments.

Evidence-Based Practice and Research (5%)

• Promote evidence-based nursing research and quality improvement.
• Adhere to healthcare policies, regulations, and safety goals.
• Participate in data collection and seek expert guidance for evidence-based problem-solving.

Resources and Support (5%)

• Plan patient care across the continuum proactively.
• Help develop protocols to reduce readmissions and adverse events.
• Use human and material resources efficiently.

Required Education

• Associate’s Degree or graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse license (single state) required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and PALS Instructor certification required.
• National specialty certification preferred.

Required Experience

• Less than 1 year experience if recent nursing graduate with clinical hours required.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficient in English communication and clinical technology use.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills backed by evidence-based nursing practice.
