Job Title: RN Cath Lab

Location: Auburn, NY

Shift: 08:00 AM-04:30 PM | M-F

Call Requirement: 1-week on-call rotation every 3 weeks (After-hours Mon–Fri 4:30 PM–8:00 AM, plus all-day Sat & Sun)

Position Overview:

A leading healthcare facility in Auburn, NY is seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join its brand-new Cath Lab unit. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic team and help shape the future of cardiac care in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Utilize conscious sedation and assist with balloon pump procedures.
• Respond to STEMI calls and assist in emergent interventions.
• Mentor and precept new staff members joining the Cath Lab.
• Document procedures using Mac-Lab charting system.
• Operate and manage equipment with GE systems.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN License – New York State
• Minimum 3 years of recent Cath Lab experience
• ACLS & BLS – American Heart Association required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (AHA) – Must be completed prior to start
• 6 CEUs on stroke-related topics – Required before start

Experience with:

• Balloon pumps
• Conscious sedation
• GE Cath Lab equipment
• STEMI call response
• Strong precepting/mentorship skills
