Position Description
A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available for the upcoming school year through May 2026. This role supports K-12 students in a school setting, focusing on providing comprehensive nursing care to students with a moderate to severe range of disabilities, including those who are medically fragile.

Key Responsibilities
- Review student records and medical assessments to create detailed health histories for annual and reevaluation meetings.
- Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to tailor health services to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), identifying health-related needs for related services.
- Plan and deliver direct nursing services, including first aid and emergency care, for students and staff.
- Provide guidance and information to school personnel regarding student health requirements.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, including Medicaid billing, in a timely manner.
- Valid and active Registered Nurse license issued by the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations.
- Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement.
- Preferred experience in pediatric, special needs, or school-based nursing.
- Experience with writing and implementing IEPs and medical services plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to travel between school sites within the district.
