Overview
We are seeking a PICC Registered Nurse, otherwise known as a PICC RN. The PICC RN is a Registered Nurse who specializes in placing and managing Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs).
Shift’s Available : Monday - Friday, Some Call
Employment Type : Full Time
Hours : 8 - hour shifts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- A ssess patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures ( Pre-Procedure Preparation )
- A ssist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiological studies, and other cardiac interventions ( Intra-Procedure Assistance )
- M onitoring patient post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensuring patient stability before discharge or transfer to another unit
- O perate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the catheterization lab, such as hemodynamic monitors and other diagnostic tools
- Q uickly respond to any emergencies or complications that arise during procedures, such as arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, or bleeding
- A ccurately document all aspects of patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure details, and post-procedure outcomes
- S tay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac care and catheterization techniques
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers . You must have:
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
- Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
- PICC Certification
Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
