Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care in an outpatient clinical setting. This includes assisting with patient care, administering medications, performing diagnostic support procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program (required).
• Active NYS LPN license (required).

Knowledge of:

• Principles of infection control
• Principles of performance improvement
• Principles of delegation
• Outpatient experience strongly preferred.
• Skilled in venipuncture, EKGs, and injections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, monitor conditions, and report changes to the supervising RN/Physician.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and other clinical procedures.
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Support physicians during exams and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Follow principles of infection control, delegation, and performance improvement.
• Contribute to a safe, patient-centered outpatient environment.
