A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their residential facilities (ICF) in Queens to help support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. As a Registered Nurse in a group home setting, your key responsibilities include providing medical services and responding to health problems, promoting health and safety, and offering case management services.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
• Hours: 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm (flex)
• Setting: Residential Facility

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and supervision of medical care for the individuals we support
• Offer comprehensive nursing services and interventions to assure that the health care needs of individuals receiving services are met
• Provide continuity of medical care and services to individuals by monitoring the planning, organizing and directing nursing activities
• Assure that the medical needs of the individuals are addressed by working with physician(s) as appropriate
• Follow through with the provision of nursing care by monitoring nursing and related services
• Develop a Nursing Care Plan for each individual and ensure the plan is reviewed and revised as needed
• Provide for the individual's continued health, welfare and safety by direction, coordination, and supervising the individual's medical care plan
• Implement all agency and OPWDD policies and procedures that are related to the Rights, Care, Treatment, and Protection of all individuals
• Identify, assess, and report circumstances occurring at the time a person experiences a seizure, injury, illness, behavioral episode, and/or any other medical or emotional difficulty an individual may have and implements therapeutic interventions accordingly

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of exeprience in a Group Home setting
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
