A Certified School Nurse (CSN) is needed to support K-12 students in the San Juan Capistrano area. This contract position is scheduled from September 22nd through December 12th, with flexibility in days worked. The nurse will primarily work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with the option to adjust Wednesday availability based on individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vision screenings using a modern photographic device, moving away from traditional methods.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy in student vision health assessments.
• Supervise a medical assistant who will conduct much of the hands-on screening work.
• Maintain detailed records and manage communication related to student health services.
• Collaborate with school staff to support overall student health and safety.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential.
• Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of vision screening procedures and student health protocols.
• Ability to oversee medical procedures and supervise support staff effectively.
