Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Unit at Mercy is renowned for providing exceptional care to adults recovering from various surgeries, including foot and ankle surgery; orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery; shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery; hip and knee surgery; sports medicine; and joint replacement and reconstruction surgery. Requirements

  • A diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment).
  • A Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board.
  • New nurse graduates considered with practicum, or technician experience in acute care. One - two years of clinical nursing experience strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider-Level CPR certification.
