A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team in the Bronx. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for playing a vital role in supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, ensuring their health and safety while promoting their well-being and independence.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
• Setting: Outpatient Day Habilitation Program

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care, evaluation, and therapeutic interventions for program participants
• Maintain accurate health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families
• Conduct staff training on OSHA standards, first aid, and medication administration support (AMAP)
• Supervise and guide LPNs and non-licensed staff, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient-oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Experience in working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
