• Preop Shift: 06:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• PACU Shift: 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. The RN will deliver high-quality, age-specific care in Preoperative and Recovery settings, while fostering effective communication and collaboration across clinical teams. This role requires adherence to ASPAN, AORN, and SGNA standards, and a commitment to safe, competent nursing practice. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment and demonstrate professionalism in all patient and team interactions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clinical Activities
• Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Provide culturally competent care and clear patient instructions
• Participate in preoperative calls and unit stocking
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and ASC staff
• Quality & Safety
• Modify care for complex patients and document evaluations
• Report near misses and support performance improvement
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Maintain a safe and organized unit environment
• Customer Service
• Communicate delays and advocate for patient needs
• Build professional relationships with patients and physicians
• Educate patients on ASC policies to prevent misunderstandings
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Texas RN License
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 2–3 years of RN experience in Preop, PACU, or Endoscopy
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ACLS (required for Endoscopy and PACU)
• PALS certification
• Experience in Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), ER, Infusion Therapy, ASC, or hospital settings
• Multi-specialty care experience with surgical and endoscopy patients
• Basic computer skills
