Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse Oncology, located in New Orleans, LA. The Registered Nurse Oncology will provide specialized nursing care to patients with oncology and hematology conditions. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering chemotherapy and other treatments, monitoring patient progress, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, and providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana
• Experience in Oncology Nursing, administering chemotherapy, and related treatments
• Proficiency in patient assessment and care plan development
• Skills in monitoring patient progress and collaborating with the healthcare team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and emotional support skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is a plus
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher or related field
